Re: How to colorize vectors?



Hi Retish,
Yes, at last we have this capability!  With the upcoming version of
Ferret, to be released very shortly,  we'll include scripts contributed
by a user, Ned Cokelet, which uses filled polygons to draw arrows
and fill them according to any field of values.

All of this works with older versions of Ferret, except for the vector
arrow key, which requires changes to allow polygons to be drawn in
the plot margins.  That capability will be in Ferret version 5.53.

I have gone ahead and put the on-line demo of this capability on our
Demonstrations web pages.  There are links from the html to the scripts
that you will need so you can save the scripts and begin to try this out.
