Typographical conventions

Typographical conventions used throughout the LAS documentation

We have made every effort to provide consistent documentation within the limits of the Plone content management system that we are using.  The following typographical conventions are in effect:

  • This style is used for headings.

  • This style is used for subheadings.

  • This style is used for code examples, XML fragments and error messages.
    This style is used for emphasis and for user input within the above.
    This style is used for locally modified variables / user input within the above.
  • This style is used for comments on implementation details

  • This style is used for Very Important Points!

  • In the middle of a paragraph, this style is used for code fragments, filenames, commands and user input.
  • In the middle of a paragraph, this style is used for emphasis.
  • In the middle of a paragraph, this style is used for variable user input.
