April 2010 LAS v7.1 Release Notes
Summary:
This release is an all JavaScript/Ajax interface with no dependencies on Perl or mySQL (except for use with scattered data). Capabilities missing from this user interface are vector plots and the ability to create an average and compare it to another average or variable. If these products are an absolute requirement for your LAS installation, please download LAS v7.1 Classic, which will install both the old and new interfaces.
Highlights:
- A new reference map implementation built on top of the OpenLayers JavaScript map library (see the map help below).
- A new comparison interface that allows users to display 4 plots simultaneously while varying the plots along one of the dimensions. This interface is similar to the previous SlideSorter interface, but allows each plot frame to contain data from different data sets if desired. A user can also normalized the contour colors across all plots and create and plot the difference between each plot and the data slice in the upper left frame. (Push the "Compare" button to try this interface).
- Numerous bug fixes.
- New plot scripts and color contour algorithms.
